Georgic

Geor"gic (-jĭk), n. [L. georgicum (sc. carmen), and georgica, pl., Gr. bi`blion gewrgiko`n, and ta~ gewrgika`: cf. F. géorgiques, pl. See Georgic, a.] A rural poem; a poetical composition on husbandry, containing rules for cultivating lands, etc.; as, the Georgics of Virgil.
